Thailand’s literacy rate has surged to over 98% in 2025, marking a significant leap in educational development, according to Education Minister Pol. Gen. Permpoon Chidchob.

The announcement followed the results of a national literacy survey conducted this year. The Ministry expressed satisfaction with the findings, highlighting the collaborative efforts of the Office of the Education Council (ONEC) and the Department of Learning Promotion (DLP), which have worked closely to present accurate data to the public.
